Motorcyclist, 80, dies after East Greenwich crash
EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WPRI) — Police are looking into the cause of a crash in East Greenwich that killed a motorcycle rider Thursday night. The victim was identified Friday as William Eldred, 80, of North Kingstown. According to East Greenwich police, Eldred's motorcycle and a passenger vehicle collided around 7:40 p.m. near the Park and Ride on Frenchtown Road. Eldred was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Police said the driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
