Morning crash shuts down Route 22 bridge

A truck crashed and shut down a stretch of Route 22 in Dauphin County on Friday morning, according to emergency dispatchers. Video above: Crews clean up after truck flips over, spilling palletsThe wreck happened in the eastbound lanes in Reed Township on the Clarks Ferry Bridge around 4:40 a.m. on Friday. Pennsylvania State Police said a truck carrying pallets was going too fast around a curve and overturned, spilling pallets across the roadway. No other vehicles were involved. All lanes of Route 22 eastbound are closed between the Route 147/Halifax and Market Street exits. Delays are expected in the area. Crews are working to clean up the pallets and load them onto another truck. Troopers said no one was injured. According to PennDOT, just north of the bridge, the Route 11 northbound and southbound ramps at the Route 22/322 exit are also closed. WGAL is working to learn more. Stay with us for updates.
