Milk delivery truck driver airlifted after accident in Robeline
ROBELINE, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — An elderly man is recovering after being airlifted in Robeline. The incident occurred on Thursday, March 9, at approximately 11:47 a.m., at a business in the 900 block of LA Highway 6. According to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office, a milk delivery truck was stopped near the business's fuel pumps at the time of the incident. At some point, the driver exited the vehicle and was standing near the front when the vehicle began to roll, striking and running over the driver. The vehicle continued traveling across the parking lot and came to rest near the Old Robeline Methodist Church. An Air Evac Lifeteam responded and landed at a designated landing zone at the Robeline ballpark. Responding agencies included the Robeline Police Department, Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office, and EMS personnel from Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. The 67-year-old driver was airlifted to a regional trauma center with moderate injuries.
