Midland police identify man killed in fatal rollover crash
The Midland Police Department reported a fatal rollover crash. According to an MPD press release, officers responded about 9:22 p.m. Wednesday to a single-vehicle rollover crash in the 500 block of East Stokes Avenue. MPD said an investigation found that a 2022 Ford Bronco was traveling east on East Stokes Avenue when it left the road and struck a large rock. MPD said the driver was 26-year-old Joseph Williams Jr. of Midland. “The collision caused the Bronco to roll, and Mr. Williams sustained life-threatening injuries,” MPD said. “Mr. Williams was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital by Midland Fire and EMS, where he was pronounced deceased from injuries sustained in the crash.” Police said next of kin had been notified and that no additional information was being released.
