Michigan State Police trooper among 3 injured after driver crashes into patrol car in Detroit
A Michigan State Police trooper and two others were hospitalized after a motorist rear-ended a patrol car investigating a crash on Interstate 96 in Detroit. The incident occurred on Sunday morning near Fullerton Avenue. The driver of a Jeep Cherokee lost control of the vehicle, leading to the collision. The impact caused the patrol car to hit the vehicle involved in the initial crash. While the injuries are not life-threatening, all three individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment. MSP First Lieutenant Mike Shaw attributed the crash to the driver's worn-down tires and excessive speed given the road conditions.
