Massachusetts man charged in fatal OUI crash in Raynham appears in court
A 22-year-old man charged in connection with a deadly motorcycle crash in Raynham faced a judge on Monday. The crash happened late Friday night on the intersection of South Street East and Hill Street and claimed the life of 52-year-old Scott Piche of New Bedford. Jacob Larsen is charged with OUI, and Motor Vehicle homicide. Larsen is accused of driving on a suspended license, for a previous OUI charge. The Commonwealth on Monday asked to remove bail on the previous OUI charge and to add $10,000 cash bail to the current charge. ALSO READ: Man arrested in connection with deadly Raynham motorcycle crash Prosecutors say Larsen was taking a left hand turn and cut into the opposite lane of travel when he struck Piche. Larsen allegedly admitted to operating the vehicle with negligence and claimed responsibility, according to the prosecutor’s narrative. He had a suspended license during the crash, prosecutors say. The court allowed the Commonwealth’s motion. Bail was set to $2,500 cash.
