Mass. couple identified as victims in Hawaii helicopter crash
A Massachusetts couple has been identified as two of the three victims killed in a helicopter crash in Hawaii last Thursday.Margaret Rimmler, 65, and Patrick Haskell, 59, were both on board a sightseeing helicopter when it crashed off the coast of the Hawaiian island of Kauai, authorities said. Two other people survived the crash, but were injured.Haskell ran the Haskell Insurance Agency in Needham, along with his late father, for decades, the company said in a statement."Their dedication and care for clients and the community was unwavering. Patrick’s kindness and selfless nature impacted all who knew him. He extended respect and compassion to everyone he encountered. He was committed to helping clients, always in a thoughtful and positive way. Our team enjoyed and appreciated working with Patrick each day. He and Margaret will be profoundly missed."The company has since moved to Dedham in late 2025.The crash was the latest in a series of fatal crashes that have plagued the island’s helicopter industry, with at least 16 people dying in crashes in the past seven years.The third victim in the crash has not yet been identified.
