Man to stay in jail for deadly Newport crash
A resident of Connecticut remains in custody following a tragic collision in Newport last Friday. Dylan Galland, 49, faces charges of negligent homicide and aggravated DWI, after reportedly driving under the influence and veering across the road on Maple Street. The collision with an oncoming vehicle resulted in a rollover and claimed the life of Ashley Wendt, 25. Galland will be detained until a forthcoming hearing to determine probable cause later this month.
