Man struck, killed by car in St. Cloud overnight, troopers say
Troopers are investigating a fatal crash that occurred overnight. At 1:44 a.m., a 2018 Nissan Rogue was traveling eastbound on U.S. 192 (Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway), east of Pineview Crest Road, when it struck a pedestrian in the inside lane, the Florida Highway Patrol says.According to troopers, the pedestrian was in the roadway, not in a marked crosswalk and directly in the vehicle’s path. The pedestrian, a 32-year-old man from St. Cloud, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Nissan Rogue, a 66-year-old man from Bensalem, Pennsylvania, was not injured. Two passengers, a 57-year-old woman from Bensalem, Pennsylvania, and a 67-year-old woman from Melbourne, Florida, also were not injured.
