Man riding skateboard killed in Las Vegas hit-and-run crash
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Metro police are searching for a driver accused of hitting and killing a man riding a skateboard in the northwest Las Vegas valley Friday afternoon. On Friday, around 2:40 p.m., Metro police responded to a 911 call reporting a body on the road north of the intersection of North Oso Blanc Road and West Montecito Pointe Drive near Elkhorn Road and I-11. Medical personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene. Evidence at the scene and a witness statement showed that a Ram pickup truck was driving southbound on Oso Blanc Road when it hit a man riding a skateboard, throwing him into the shoulder of the road. The driver left the scene of the crash. Police later located the Ram pickup truck however, the driver has still not been identified.
