Man passes away following multi-vehicle collision on I-10 East at Eastlake
A 29-year-old man lost his life in a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 10 East in El Paso, Texas early Monday morning, January 19th. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash at around 1:40 a.m. at mile marker 35. The incident entailed a white Kia passenger vehicle speeding eastbound on I-10 which collided with the rear of a semi-truck. The driver of the Kia, identified as Fernando Aria Jr., succumbed to his injuries after being taken to a local hospital. The investigation is ongoing. Following the crash, all lanes on I-10 East at Eastlake were shut down for several hours, causing significant traffic delays. EPCSO units were present at the scene assisting with the aftermath of the collision.
