Man on scooter dies in crash on Page Boulevard in Springfield
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A man riding a scooter has died following a crash on Page Boulevard in Springfield Sunday morning. Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh stated that at approximately 12:10 a.m. on Sunday, officers were called to the intersection of the I-291 westbound off-ramp on Page Boulevard regarding reports of a crash involving a motor vehicle and scooter. The rider of the scooter, an adult man, was brought to Baystate Medical Center, where he died as a result of his injuries. The driver of the car remained on scene and cooperated with officials. The Springfield Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
