Man killed in industrial incident in Southwest Lubbock Thursday morning

LUBBOCK, Texas -- Authorities responded to a deadly construction incident near 114th Street and Upland Avenue on Thursday morning. First responders were initially called to the area at 9:08 a.m. The Lubbock Police Department said Pete Martinez III, 38, was part of a crew working in the area. Police said he was walking near a front-end loader when he was unintentionally run over. Police told EverythingLubbock.com the incident was under investigation.
