Man killed in head-on crash in King City identified
A deadly head-on crash occurred Friday evening in King City on Metz Road, north of Spreckels Road, officials said. The driver of a Ford Fusion was traveling south when the vehicle swerved into the opposing lane and collided head-on with a Dodge Ram, officials said. Both vehicles caught fire after the crash. The driver of the Ford Fusion died at the scene, while the driver of the Dodge Ram was uninjured, officials said.The Monterey County Sheriff's Office identified the person killed as 35-year-old Rigoberto Ortega Martinez.No further details have been released as of Sunday morning.
