Man killed in crash on Tri-State Tollway in Des Plaines identified

A man killed in a crash on the Tri-State Tollway on Wednesday afternoon has been identified. The crash happened around 4 p.m. on northbound I-294 north of Golf Road in Des Plaines.Medical examiners identified the victim as 69-year-old Eugene Robinson Jr. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.The crash left three lanes closed for hours.The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
