Man in Lakeland dies in single-vehicle crash as Jeep overturns: Police
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office reported that a Lakeland man passed away in a solo vehicle accident on Saturday evening. According to deputies, they were called to the area of Reynolds Road, at the intersection with Flat Road, following reports of a Jeep Wrangler that had flipped over on the side of the road at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 18. Evidence indicates that the 26-year-old driver was traveling north on Reynolds Road before the vehicle veered off the road, collided with guide wires connected to a utility pole, and ultimately overturned. The driver sustained fatal injuries at the scene. The incident is currently under investigation.
