Man hit by car in NE Portland dies in hospital after weeks
Portland police have shared the sad news that a man hit by a car in the Woodlawn neighborhood has passed away from his injuries. The incident occurred on Dec. 3 at NE Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Bryant Street around 6:30 p.m. The pedestrian, identified as 67-year-old Jerry Spears, was struck by a driver traveling northbound in the crosswalk. Despite being hospitalized for weeks, he succumbed to his injuries on Jan. 7. The police are still investigating this tragic event and urge anyone with information to reach out to the Portland Police Bureau.
