Man found shot to death inside overturned vehicle in Birmingham
A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found shot to death inside an overturned vehicle in Birmingham Tuesday afternoon.Officers responded to the 1400 block of 29th Street Ensley on a report of a two-vehicle crash around 1:21 p.m., police said. When they arrived, they found an unresponsive man inside an overturned vehicle a block away. A second vehicle involved in the crash was unoccupied and parked.>> YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD: Community coverage from WVTM 13The Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service pronounced the man dead at the scene. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office later determined the man had been shot.The man’s identity has not been released as police work to notify his family. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
