Man driving vintage Ford Model T killed in crash at Washington City intersection

A man was killed in a crash at the intersection of Rio Virgin Drive and Washington Dam Road. The crash happened just after 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday. According to witness statements, a vintage Ford Model T was pulling off Rio Virgin Drive onto Washington Dam Road. The driver, only identified as "an older adult male," reportedly initiated the turn but did not proceed westbound. Instead, the driver attempted a U-turn into the eastbound travel lane. At the same time, a Ford F-450 towing a 15-foot flatbed trailer entered the intersection. An investigation into the exact cause of the crash "remains active and ongoing," the Washington City Police Department said on Wednesday afternoon. Investigators did not suspect impairment for either driver, and no citations or arrests had been made as of this article's publication.
