Man dies in motorcycle crash in Hopkinton

Hopkinton police said a man died after a motorcycle crash on Wednesday night. According to police, officers responded to Clarks Falls Road at around 11:18 p.m. for a report of a motorcycle crash. Police found an unresponsive man and his motorcycle on the side of the road at the scene. The investigation revealed that the man, later identified as Donald Hopkins Jr., was traveling from Main Street toward Connecticut on Clarks Falls Road when the motorcycle left the roadway. The motorcycle then struck a rock, causing Hopkins to lose control, officials said. The victim was transported to Westerly Hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.
