Man dies in Coitsville crash: OSHP
COITSVILLE TWP., Ohio (WKBN) -- The Canfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash from Wednesday night. Reports said the passenger in the vehicle, Shun Moreland, 53, of Struthers, died from his injuries after he was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital. Troopers were called to a single-vehicle crash where a car reportedly hit a mailbox before it overturned, then hit a culvert and a telephone pole around 9 p.m. Reports said the driver was headed eastbound on McGuffey Road before travelling off the left side of the roadway and striking the mailbox. OSHP said that the driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Neither the driver nor Moreland was wearing a seatbelt, according to reports. A viewer sent a video from the scene on McGuffey Road, just west of State Line Road, where you can see a car leaning against the pole.
