Man dies after vehicle flips, lands in water in DeKalb County
DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) -- A man has died after a crash on a rural road with surrounding high water levels. Early Sunday morning, 25-year-old Tristan Boyles was driving east on CR 52, approaching the intersection with CR 3 near Garrett, Indiana. According to a press release from the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office, Boyles veered off the road for an unknown reason and struck a utility pole off the south side of the road. The vehicle then rolled onto its top and landed in high water caused by flooding. When medics arrived, they pronounced him dead at the scene after pulling Boyles from his vehicle. The cause of the crash, or any other details, is still unknown.
