Man dead after rollover crash near Caledonia, deputies say
CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man died after his vehicle went off the road and rolled over in Caledonia Township Monday evening, deputies said. The crash happened around 7:25 p.m. on 84th Street west of Kraft Avenue, according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office. A vehicle driven by a 41-year-old Caledonia man drove off the road into the trees and his vehicle rolled over. He was thrown from the vehicle. Witnesses started CPR until the Caledonia Fire Department arrived but the man was pronounced dead at the scene, deputies said. The crash is being investigated by the Kent County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Safety Unit. “We appreciate the quick actions of the witnesses who stepped in and helped,” the sheriff's office wrote in a release.
