E-470 SB closed in Aurora after deadly auto-pedestrian crash
DENVER (KDVR) — A deadly auto-pedestrian crash closed southbound E-470 a few miles south of the Denver International Airport for several hours Thursday morning, according to the Aurora Police Department. The crash happened on E-470 southbound near 38th Avenue around 6:20 a.m., and the Colorado State Patrol said the southbound lanes were closed near 47th Avenue for several hours CSP officials said in a press release investigators believe a 34-year-old man "intentionally jumped in front" of a Chevrolet Silverado driving south on the highway. The driver stayed at the scene and assisted law enforcement in the investigation. They were not injured, CSP said. The pedestrian died at the scene.
