Man accused in connection with deadly New Year’s Day crash
Pennsylvania State Police have charged an Allentown man in connection with a deadly crash that occurred on New Year's Day in Franklin Township, Carbon County. The crash, which took place on Interstate-476 near mile marker 76.2, resulted in the tragic death of 32-year-old Luis A. Carlo. The Carbon County Coroner's office determined that Carlo passed away from multiple blunt force trauma in what was ruled an accidental death. It is reported that 27-year-old Luis Fargas-Carrion veered his jeep onto the road shoulder, causing the collision that claimed Carlo's life. Fargas-Carrion faces charges of reckless driving, while state police continue to investigate the incident.
