Man, 81, dies in crash involving tractor-trailer on I-95 in Melbourne, FHP says
An 81-year-old man died Tuesday in a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 95 in Brevard County, according to Florida Highway Patrol.The crash happened around 6 a.m., April 28 on I-95 northbound near Wickham Road (mile marker 191) in Melbourne.According to FHP, the crash involved a 2017 Dodge Journey and a 2015 Mack tractor-trailer. The driver of the Dodge Journey, the 81-year-old man from Port Saint Lucie failed to stop for the tractor-trailer that stopped because of traffic, according to an FHP report. The roadway has since reopened. The crash remains under investigation.
