Major traffic backup after motorcyclist killed in crash on Las Vegas highway
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Parts of a Las Vegas highway were closed Monday morning after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash overnight. The Nevada Highway Patrol responded to a crash just after 3 a.m. on Monday, April 27, on the westbound 215 just west of Rainbow Boulevard. The crash involved a motorcycle and a sedan. Police said that medical personnel declared the motorcyclist dead at the scene. The driver of the sedan remained at the scene and was cooperating with police. All travel lanes on the 215 westbound lanes at Rainbow were closed, and traffic was being diverted off onto the 215 and Rainbow on-ramp. As of 7:30 a.m., all lanes were back open, and traffic returned to normal.
