Maine man among 3 seriously injured in New Hampshire head-on crash

Members of the New Hampshire State Police are investigating a head-on crash on Interstate 293 in Hooksett that left three people seriously injured, including a Maine man.State police said troopers responded to the crash on I-293 north, which happened in the area of mile marker 11, at about 5:40 a.m. Tuesday.Investigators determined that a 43-year-old man from Rome, Maine, was driving a 2020 Subaru Legacy south on the interstate when, for reasons still under investigation, the car crossed the center median and into the northbound lanes, where it collided head-on with a Ford F-150 pickup truck.The Maine man, a passenger in the Subaru and the driver of the F-150 were all transported to area hospitals to be treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.Investigators said speed is believed to be a factor in the crash, but all aspects of the incident remain under investigation.
