Lubbock conveyor belt accident leaves one critically injured

LUBBOCK, Texas -- Lubbock Fire Rescue confirmed that one person is in critical condition after getting trapped under a conveyor belt at a concrete plant Tuesday morning in the 500 block of North Ave K. According to LFR, the initial call came in at approximately 8:44 a.m. LFR officials state that engine 4 and Truck 4 arrived on scene to find one individual trapped and pinned under a conveyor belt. LFR officials say the individual was safely extricated and transported to University Medical Center by EMS for medical treatment. The individual involved is in critical condition.
