Logan Martin Lake boat crash kills 83-year-old man
A deadly boat crash on Logan Martin Lake has killed an 83-year-old Pell City man. Gary M. Kendrick was on a 1993 Ranger Bass boat with Barbara W. Kendrick, 81, when they collided head-on with a 2005 Hurricane Pontoon boat. Kendrick was taken to (UAB) St. Vincent’s St. Clair Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The Pontoon's driver was uninjured. The boats crashed near the I-20 Bridge in St. Clair County. Pell City Police Department and Lincoln Fire Department both responded to the scene with ALEA Marine Patrol Troopers, who are still investigating.
