Locals unite to help food cart owner after accident setback
NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) -- One ENC community is rallying around a food cart owner after a traffic accident this morning destroyed his equipment. "Friday the 13th, I guess, got me," said Steven Snook, owner of Snook Dawgs. "Sad to say, but Snook Dawg's hot dog cart is done." Snook said someone cut him off while he was driving down the highway this morning, causing the cart to detach and flip into the median. He said the crash leaves him unable to work just as the busy season is beginning. "I had my first big event of the year coming up Saturday and Sunday," said Snook. "I got in touch with that lady, and she told me I couldn't make it." Snook's supporters took to social media to help, and now a GoFundMe has been set up to help him rebuild his cart.
