Local victims of fatal Bolton crash identified

Four individuals, including three teenagers, who lost their lives in a collision between a taxi and a car in Greater Manchester have been identified by local sources. The crash involved a red Seat Leon and a Citroen C4 Picasso on Wigan Road, Bolton, in the early hours of 11 January, as reported by Greater Manchester Police (GMP). The deceased, believed to be men between 18 and 19 years old, were identified by the Bolton Council of Mosques (BCoM) as Mohammed Jibrael Mukhtar, Farhan Patel, Muhammad Danyaal Asghar Ali, and Mosrab Ali, who is believed to have been the taxi driver. Tragically, all four individuals were pronounced dead at the scene, with five other passengers sustaining injuries and taken to hospital. Chief Inspector Helen McCormick of GMP expressed the profound impact of the incident, referring to the crash site as "particularly challenging" for emergency responders. The authorities are conducting a thorough investigation, while the community mourns this devastating loss.
