Lebanon woman dies after motorcycle driver crashes into utility pole
LEBANON, Ind. — An investigation is underway after a motorcycle driver collided with a utility pole, leading to one woman's death. According to the Lebanon Police Department, officers were called to the intersection of State Road 39 and Anderson Lane at roughly 10:15 p.m. on report of a crash. Police arriving on scene discovered a motorcycle had crashed into a utility pole. Officers said two individuals were on the motorcycle and had become trapped between the pole and the vehicle. Police, firefighters and medics worked together to free the pair from the wreckage. The male driver was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital in critical condition. Police said his passenger, identified as Nicole King of Lebanon, was pronounced dead after being transported to Witham Memorial Hospital. Due to the severity of the crash, the Lebanon Police Department requested a multi-agency CRASH team take over the investigation.
