Lebanon man dies after car crashes into tree in Eastford
EASTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A Lebanon man has died following a one-car crash on Boston Turnpike (Route 244) in Eastford on Friday, police said. According to Connecticut State Police, 32-year-old Baden Preston Powell was driving a 2014 Subaru Impreza west on Boston Turnpike when he failed to negotiate a curve at approximately 4:09 p.m. The vehicle went off the roadway and struck a tree. Powell sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene. State police are investigating the crash. The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad responded to the crash.
