Lawsuit filed against H-E-B and other parties by families of four women killed in Texas Panhandle accident.
The families of four women who tragically lost their lives in a collision on US 87 last November have taken legal action by filing a wrongful death lawsuit against H-E-B and three others. The lawsuit was submitted on Dec. 23 in Bexar County and names H-E-B, Parkway Transport Inc, Scrappy Trucking LLC, and Guadalupe Daniel Villarreal as defendants. It stands on behalf of the families of Breanna Brantley, Taylor White, Myunique Johnson, and Lakeisha Brown who lost their lives in the crash. The lawsuit is pursuing damages for various losses, including emotional distress, the women's financial contributions, companionship, inheritance, funeral costs, and additional exemplary damages. The lawsuit is calling for a jury trial and requesting a temporary restraining order to safeguard crucial evidence related to the case. The tragic incident involved an 18-wheeler driven by Villarreal colliding with the car the women were in. H-E-B has issued a statement expressing their deep sadness over the accident and clarifying their cooperation in the investigation. The lawsuit suggests that Villarreal may have been distracted while driving, possibly due to his phone.
