Lawsuit accuses H-E-B after fatal crash kills 4 women
A tragic incident occurred on a Texas highway when a tractor-trailer collided with a car carrying four young women, resulting in their untimely deaths. According to reports, the crash occurred due to safety failures within the trucking operation involved in the delivery. The victims, identified as Myunique Johnson, Lakeisha Brown, Breanna Brantley, and Taylor White, lost their lives in the collision near Dalhart last November. A lawsuit has been filed in relation to the accident, holding H-E-B LP, Parkway Transport Inc., Scrappy Trucking LLC, and the truck driver Guadalupe Daniel Villarreal accountable. The lawsuit cites issues of negligent hiring, supervision, and safety oversight within the trucking operation as contributing factors to the tragedy. The plaintiffs are seeking damages exceeding $1 million, along with punitive measures. The suit alleges that the truck driver failed to maintain proper speed and may have been distracted, possibly by a mobile device, at the time of the collision. The legal action also highlights concerns over the lack of response to requests for evidence preservation following the crash. As investigations continue, no criminal charges have been announced in connection with the incident.
