Lanes reopen after three-vehicle crash forced full closure of SR-59 in Washington County

WASHINGTON CITY, Utah (ABC4) — Both directions of SR-59 were closed in Washington County due to a crash. According to the Utah Department of Transportation, the crash occurred near eastbound 2027 N and State Street. The crash reportedly involved three vehicles, two of which were rear-ended. The crash was reportedly caused by a domino effect of cars hitting each other due to break slamming. None of the vehicle occupants were transported to the hospital, but Utah Highway Patrol said that there were "complaints of injury." The estimated clearance time was listed as 3:46 p.m., and UHP has confirmed that lanes have reopened. There is no further information available at this time.
