KSP Reports 1 Fatality, 2 Injuries, 1 Unscathed in Meade County Crash
Authorities in Meade County are currently looking into a tragic incident that occurred on Christmas evening. The incident, which took place at the intersection of Garrett Road and Brandenburg Road, involved a collision between two vehicles. The driver of one vehicle, 19-year-old Kailey Kwiatkowski, veered into oncoming traffic, causing a head-on collision with the other vehicle driven by 20-year-old Trae McCormack. Sadly, McCormack sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Kwiatkowski and her passenger, a juvenile, were transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Fortunately, the driver of a parked vehicle that was also struck, 38-year-old James Anderson, was unharmed. The investigation is being led by Kentucky State Trooper Scott Wheatley.
