KSP investigating fatal accident involving truck, bicycle
HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) - Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal accident that happened in Dawson Springs. The agency states they were contacted by Hopkins County Dispatch on Wednesday at about 5:30 a.m. about a request to investigate. The report says the crash involved a vehicle and a pedestrian near the 4400 block of Charleston Road. Preliminary investigation says a pickup truck was traveling north when it entered a second lane in an attempt to pass another vehicle. That truck reportedly ended up hitting a bicyclist going south. The rider was identified as 49-year-old David Baggott of Dawson Springs. He was pronounced dead by the Hopkins County Coroner. The collision remains under investigation.
