Knoxville Police on scene of ‘serious crash’ on Old Broadway
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Knoxville Police Department is investigating what it referred to as a "serious" crash on Old Broadway Friday morning. Just before 8 a.m., KPD said officers were on the scene of the crash in the 4700 block of Old Broadway. The area is approximately where Old North Broadway crosses Broadway. Tennessee Department of Transportation spokesperson mark Nagi said around 8:30 a.m. that the crash involved a motorcycle. Due to the crash, Tazewell Pike at Old Broadway is closed, Nagi said. Drivers are asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes as officers conduct their investigation and clear the scene.
