In Algonquin, a young individual was charged for causing an accident by crashing into a home, resulting in injuries to two people. The incident occurred near Boyer Road and Eineke Boulevard, prompting a response from Algonquin police and the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District. One resident was taken to a nearby hospital in an ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries, while a juvenile passenger from the vehicle was also treated for minor injuries. The driver, identified only as a juvenile, initially fled the scene but was later turned in by a parent and arrested. Charges included reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident involving personal injury, operating a vehicle without a license, speeding significantly over the limit, driving too fast for conditions, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and disregarding a stop sign. The police have refrained from releasing further details due to the individual's age.
