Jordan Shipley's sister shares picture of him with bandages following serious ranch mishap

Shelby Nuñez, the sister of former Texas quarterback Jordan Shipley, has provided an update on his condition after an accident at his ranch left him critically injured. In a Facebook post, she requested prayers and fasting ahead of Jordan's upcoming procedure to assess the severity of his injuries. A photo shared showed Shipley in his hospital bed, his body bandaged, and his right arm making the Longhorns' "Hook 'Em" sign. The accident occurred when a machine he was operating caught fire, resulting in severe burns. Shipley, 40, was airlifted to an Austin hospital following the incident. Nuñez also asked for prayers for his healing, mobility, and emotional well-being. Shipley and his wife Sunny Leigh have two young sons. Sunny expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support from the community, while Jordan's father shared that he would require multiple surgeries in the coming days. Shipley, a former Longhorn player and NFL athlete, resides in Texas with his family.
