Investigation underway into multi-vehicle accident on Louisiana Route 23

The closure of the highway has prompted the Plaquemines Parish School Board to redirect all southbound buses, with Belle Chasse Middle School students being taken to Belle Chasse High School. Parent pickups can be made at that location, with absences being excused. Students living south of the incident should return home. Belles Chasse High School, Belles Chasse Primary School, and Belles Chasse Elementary School will operate on a normal schedule, but bus delays may occur. Parents are encouraged to transport their children if possible, with all absences related to this incident excused.
