Investigation into fatal crash following traffic stop in Columbia.
Maryland's Attorney General's Office is looking into a tragic incident in Columbia involving a fatal crash. The Howard County Police Department reported that an officer in an inconspicuous police vehicle tried to pull over a 2010 Honda Accord for speeding on Route 32 at around 2 a.m. The driver of the Honda, identified as a juvenile, evaded the stop and crashed on the eastbound ramp toward Broken Land Parkway, resulting in the driver's death. The officer had a body camera on, and the Independent Investigations Division is examining the events leading up to the crash.
