Interstate 85 North crash closes lanes near US 29 in Lexington
LEXINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — A Wednesday morning crash has led to multiple lane closures on Interstate 85 North in Lexington, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation. The crash occurred near Mile Marker 89, just past Exit 88 for Hargrave Road/NC 47 and just past where US 29 splits from I-85. At one point in the morning, all lanes of I-85 North were closed at one point due to the crash. Currently, the right lane of the highway is closed. There is no word as to what caused the crash or the status of anyone involved at this time.
