Interstate 75 shut down in both ways after deadly collision in Collier County, according to FHP
There is a current traffic delay on Interstate 75 in Collier County due to a deadly accident that occurred on Friday morning. The incident took place at mile marker 96 on I-75, also referred to as Alligator Alley, prompting the closure of the southbound lanes at Exit 101 (Country Road 951) and the northbound lanes at Exit 80 (State Road 29). The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene around 2 a.m. and confirmed at least one fatality. Further details are pending.
