Interstate 235 exit ramp closed Tuesday morning due to deadly crash
A deadly crash on an Interstate 235 exit ramp led to a closure Tuesday morning.Des Moines police said the I-235 eastbound exit ramp at East University Avenue was temporarily closed Tuesday morning due to the crash. Police and fire crews were called to the scene and found a Chevrolet Colorado pick-up truck that had crashed into a concrete bridge support, according to DMPD.The driver was found dead at the scene. I-35/80 crashAdditionally, the westbound ramp onto I-35/80 at Second Avenue was closed due to a crash.According to the Iowa State Patrol, a single-vehicle rollover crash was reported on the ramp at around 5:30 a.m. Two occupants were in the vehicle.
