Injuries reported after two-vehicle collision in Taylor County

TAYLOR COUNTY, Iowa -- The Lenox Fire Department says injuries were reported after a two-vehicle collision in Taylor County. Lenox FD says crews were dispatched around 3:31 p.m. to the intersection of Highway 148 and 130th Street, west of Lenox, on a report of an accident. Upon arrival, authorities located a two-vehicle accident with injuries. Lenox fire says the victims were transported to the hospital, but did not specify the number injured or the severity of those injuries. Photos from the scene provided by Lenox Fire show an SUV with a crushed front and a semi, along with images of grain/corn and debris being cleared from the road. Officials say Highway 148 had to be shut down for a while as investigators worked and clean-up crews cleared the roads. The Iowa State Patrol, Taylor County Sheriff's Office, Taylor County Ambulance, Corning Fire Department, and Shepherds' Towing all assisted at the scene.
