IMPD officer, security guard hurt in crash in downtown Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS — A police officer and a security guard were hurt in a crash in downtown Indianapolis Saturday night. Public emergency reporting systems indicate the crash occurred in the 200 block of South Meridian Street around 10:24 p.m. IMPD officers at the scene of an unrelated shooting told FOX59/CBS4 that a driver ran over a security guard's foot on South Meridian Street. Those officers also reported that a police officer was hurt in the Meridian Street crash. The security guard and officer both sustained minor injuries in the crash. Neither of them were transported to local hospitals after the crash.
