Identities released of three family members killed in Trussville crash

Authorities have identified the three members of a Mississippi family who were killed in a tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 59 near Trussville Tuesday morning. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the victims as 32-year-old Dominque Mariona Butler, her 29-year-old husband, Dquarious Marqua Butler, and their 5-year-old daughter, Nailani Butler. The family was from Liberty, Mississippi. According to the coroner, all three were traveling in a tractor-trailer with three other immediate family members when it collided with another tractor-trailer on Interstate 59 North near mile marker 138 at about 7:12 a.m. Dominque Butler and Nailani Butler were pronounced dead at the scene at 7:31 a.m. Dquarious Butler was taken to UAB Hospital, where he later died at 9:19 a.m. The coroner said all six occupants of the tractor-trailer were members of the same immediate family. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's State Troopers are investigating what led to the crash.
